Denisha Williams, Certified Arborist with Afridi Associates, 2015

For the final planting season of the New York State DOT Route 9A-West Street Promenade and Streetscape project, BHLA Principal Denisha Williams served as the Certified Arborist on the construction management team working under AECOM and Afridi Associates. The highly visible site is immediately adjacent to the World Trade Center Memorial and World Financial Center. Oversight of the final season of planting entailed inspections for planting of approximately 60 trees and 4,000 shrubs, perennials, and groundcovers in medians and planters in the public right-of-way. The tasks also entailed oversight of replacement plantings from previous seasons and plant counts for final close-out of the contract.
